About: Founded in 1937 by Don Indalecio Núñez Muro, was the first commercial tequila distillery established in the Highlands (Los Altos) of Jalisco that has since become world-renowned for producing rich, high-sugar Blue Weber agaves.
El Viejito has been operating continuously by the Núñez family (currently under the leadership of patriarch Juan Núñez) for nearly 90 years, using traditional production style methods including the use of hornos (masonry ovens), roller mill extraction and copper pot distillation.

Nose: Burnt orange, vanilla bean, ground baking spices, mineral-rich clay, chili pepper skins and hot chocolate.

Palate: Finely ground pepper, more of that chili pepper skin, wet rock, caramel candy, tart lemons, and that signature dehydrated flower note that carries through the unaged expressions.
