About Us
NOM170 is Seelbach’s modern tribute to tequila’s craft heart. NOM170 is the same passion for transparency and flavor that inspired Seelbach’s. It honors the true makers of Mexico. The families, distilleries, and agave regions behind each bottle. Every tequila we feature traces back to its NOM number. The government-issued code that identifies where and where it was made. We treat that number like a fingerprint: proof of origin, process, and pride. NOM170 aims to help drinkers see the difference between additive-free craft tequila and mass-market myths.

We curate and taste stories that connect agave and oak. This includes single-estate blancos, experimental reposados, and cask-finished añejos. NOM170 offers both pure valley minerality and bourbon-influenced tequila for whiskey lovers. Here, education and exploration come together. We believe in showing the whole picture — agave to glass, field to tahona, NOM to name. This isn’t any retail site; it’s a digital tasting room. Here, we celebrate authenticity, artistry, and a hint of rebellion in every pour.

Behind the Name
A Norma Oficial Mexicana, or NOM number is an indication that the bottle is an authentic tequila produced in Mexico. It also tells you which producer a particular tequila came from. At the time that we were working up a name, there were 170 active NOM numbers on record. Hence, the name NOM170. The number of active NOMs has grown since then, and while our offerings will continue to grow as well, our name will remain as a nod to when & where our journey started.
